Golemis one of the OG win conditions inClash Royale. It’s a gargantuan beast with a massive health pool that only goes after the enemy tower. Although it has largely fallen out of favor with the arrival of new win conditions, such as the Goblin Giant or Goblin Drill, Golem decks are still strong enough totake down the King Towerin a single push when used properly.

Golem decks are usually a bit on the heavy side since the card itself costs a whopping eight elixirs to deploy. If you want to use this win condition to climb the Trophy Road, we’ve compiled some of the best decks you might want to try in this guide.

Golem

In this deck, you’re pairing Golem with two of its strongest support troops, the Night Witch and Lumberjack. This deck is all about building up a big push from the back of your King Tower. It’s a slow, methodical deck that plays defensively in the early game and takes down the enemy tower as soon as the double-elixir stage kicks in.

For the early game, you’ll want to use your Lumberjack and Mega Minion to defend everything the enemy places on the field. You’ve got three spells in this deck — Evo Zap, Tornado, and Lightning — which gives you a lot of outplay potential. However, avoid using Lightning too much in the early game, as it costs a big chunk of your elixir bar. Every bit of elixir counts if you want to make this deck work.

The Evo Bomber is your secret weapon in this deck. It can act as a secondary win condition if you’re having trouble breaking through with your Golem pushes. Use Tornado wisely to line up Evo Bomber’s shots on the enemy tower to deal massive damage each time you go in.

This deck uses the Cannoneer Tower Troop.

Golem Double Dragon Pump

Golem decks usually get a lot of flak for being too one-dimensional. If you feel the same way, theGolem Double Dragon Pumpmight be the perfect fit for you. It’s an extremely versatile deck with a relatively low average elixir cost despite using such a heavy win condition.

The main idea behind this deck is to not play the Golem at all during the single elixir stage. Instead, you want to play defense while placing as many Elixir Collectors as possible behind your Princess Towers. This will either force your opponent to spend elixir on taking out your Elixir Collectors or go in for pushes to pressure you.

This deck excels at defense, with the Baby Dragon taking out swarm troops and the Inferno Dragon handlingcards like the Hog Rideror Pekka. Skeletons and Minions also let you deal massive damage or distract enemy troops. Once you build up an elixir lead, you can start a push with a Golem in the back.

When going in with Golem, put the Inferno Dragon and the Baby Dragon behind it. Use Poison on the enemy tower and Evo Zap to eliminate any high-damage cards your opponent uses to take out your Golem. By the time your opponent defends one Golem push, you’ll have enough elixir saved up to go in once again with a fresh new Golem in the back.

Both Dagger Duchess and Cannoneer are good Tower Troops for this deck.

Golem Cannon Cart Night Witch

TheGolem Cannon Cart Night Witchmight be thestrongest deck in the meta right nowfor Golem players, featuring a strong Evo combo and some of the best support troops. It has a relatively low elixir cost and gives you a couple of different ways to damage the enemy tower.

The deck has an average 3.9 elixir cost, which puts it in the same range as some of thecycle decks players liketo run. Golem is the only real heavy card in this deck. That means you won’t be as starved for elixir and can easily cycle through your deck to get to your Evo cards as long as you don’t go in with a Golem during the single elixir stage.

Guards, Cannon Cart, and Skeleton Dragons are the three main cards you’ll want to play during the early stage, focusing purely on defense. Arrows will help you defendagainst the Goblin Barrelor Goblin Drill if you’re facing those decks.

When you get into the double-elixir phase, start building up your push. You’ll want to place your Night Witch and Skeleton Dragons behind the Golem. If you get a good opening, Evo Bomber can help you get some nice chip damage. Use Guards and Cannon Cart to defend if your opponent tries to go for a tower trade.

Use the Cannoneer Tower Troop for this deck.
