Summary

The Legend of Vox Machinahas been one of the rare TV shows that doesn’t compromise on its quality. The first two seasons turned out to be exceptional, but fans wanted something epic from Season 3 and the makers didn’t disappoint. The third edition of thePrime Videoseries came to an end with a thrilling three-part finale that showed the group of heroes fighting the formidable Thordak.

In the previous set of episodes, fans got to see the brutal and tragic death of Percy. Believe it or not, his death shattered everyone, especially fans, who still hope to see the character in the finale. Although Vox Machina has been successful in foiling some of Thordak’s plans, it’s time for the group to end this saga and defeat the mighty dragon.

Of course, it won’t be easy because the dragon has its army and is ready for any possible attack. However, Vox Machina shouldn’t be taken lightly and can bring the Red Dragon down to its knees. If the previous set of episodes were heavy on emotions and relationships, the final three are filled with epic battle sequences and heroic moments.

In Episode 10 ofThe Legend of Vox Machinaseason 3, things seem to be looking bleak for the team of heroes. Distraught over her doubts being ignored, Keyleth flies home, seeking wisdom from her father. He reveals a dangerous ritual to locate Raishan, but she must persuade the Council to grant her permission. After initially being denied, she learns of her mother’s history with Raishan, reigniting her determination. Keyleth’s powerful display of leadership forces the Council to relent, and she begins the life-risking ritual underground.

Meanwhile, Vex and Vax hunt Ripley in Stilben, where they find evidence of her involvement in distributing lethal weapons. Their pursuit leads to a dangerous confrontation in the docks. Vex is captured and nearly drowned, but Vax saves her, forcing them to abandon their chase as the ship sails away. Back at home, Pike attempts to wake Scanlan from his coma with the help of his daughter, Kaylie, hoping to give him a reason to live. As Keyleth struggles with the ritual, she sees a vision of Vex and Vax in peril on Ripley’s ship, leaving the fate of the siblings—and perhaps all of Exandria—hanging in the balance.

Meanwhile, in Episode 11, Keyleth battles to control the ritual that will help her locate Raishan, nearly losing herself to the earth’s magic. With guidance from her father and a focus on Vax’s faith in her, she transforms, gaining the power to pinpoint Raishan’s location. She sends a magical message to Grog and Pike, signaling their next move. On the other hand, Vex and Vax are captured aboard Ripley’s ship. They confront her twisted view of Percy’s legacy before breaking free and battling the crew in an intense fight while chained together. The reunited Vox Machina then travels throughenchanted pathways to a dark forest and an ancient ziggurat. There, they find a wounded Raishan standing among the ruins. Keyleth leads the confrontation, using her druidic powers against Raishan, who channels the ziggurat’s dark magic, taunting the team with her arrogance as the final battle begins.

The battle with Raishan takes a dangerous turn as she harnesses the ziggurat’s magic and transforms back into her dragon form, vowing to destroy all Ashari villages. Keyleth’s initial attacks wound her, but only superficially. Grog charges in, landing a blow, but is easily thrown aside. Vax confronts Raishan but is captured mid-air by her magic. Just as Raishan is about to finish him, Vex’s well-timed arrow breaks Raishan’s focus and frees Vax. Pike steps up, believing her vestige armor can endure the attack, but Raishan’s mysterious breath weapon overpowers her. She uses the ziggurat’s stones to trap Keyleth away from the team, but Keyleth has a plan.

As Grog smashes through the magical walls, Keyleth transforms and dodges Raishan’s attacks, until a brutal hit sends her flying. Her body crumbles, but she rises again, drawing strength from her earlier ritual. Weakened but determined, she uses her druidic powers, and Vax aids her with a shot from a powder box taken from Ripley’s ship. The battle leaves Keyleth severely injured. Desperate, Vax seeks guidance from the Matron of Ravens about resurrecting Percy, but she forbids it. Encouraged by Pike to defy even the gods, Vax resolves to take a risk, holding Vex’s blue feather for luck.
