Metaphor: ReFantaziohas an in-game calendar that will have players juggling their free time while also trying to clear the main dungeons of each town they visit. While there are many things to do in each of the main cities, players will also spend a lot of time on the Gauntlet Runner as it travels back and forth.
Time spent on the Gauntlet Runner is crucial, as many of those activities can only be completed while the Runner is traveling. Here are all the things players can do on the Gauntlet Runner, both during the day and night.
Effects & Rewards
Spend Time With Party Members
Depending on the party member, a different Royal Virtue will increase. There will also be adialogue option thatcan reward MAGdepending on which one you choose.
Follower Rank Up
Some party members have ranks that can be done on the Gauntlet Runner while it’s moving, though these are few and far between.
Use The Toilet (Does Not Pass Time)
Using the toilet onany day that ends with a 5will increaseyour Luck by 1.
Check The Pantry (Does Not Pass Time)
Two ingredients can be found daily in the pantry that can be used for cooking.
This can be done daily to give theProtagonist 100 EXP.
Go To Bed
Advances time to night without doing anything, but increases the odds of a monster attack.
Gardening
The Plant Culture Chamber can grow a plant in a single day after seeds are planted.Planting takes time while harvesting does not.
Read A Book
Different books will be added as you progress the main story and will increase a different Royal Virtue.
Cooking
Use ingredients tomake a healing item. TheSpeed Cooking skill can be unlocked through Maria’s follower rewardsto make cooking not take up time.
Fishing
Use bait to catch fish that can be used in cooking.
Clean The Gauntlet Runner
In the engine room is the Upright Cleaning Tool, which can be used to clean andincreasethe Protagonist’s base HP.
Washing Machine
Doing laundry willincrease yourmaximum MP, while also sometimes giving a small sum of Reeve.
Each party membercan increase two Royal Virtues, with the second option usually appearing more often during the night.
Bath Cask
Permanent stat increases for the Protagonistdepending on the Bath Salt you use.
