Summary

A cleverStarfieldplayer online has created a ship build that looks eerily like the character Shrek, and best of all, it looks entirely functional. There have been some strangeStarfieldcreations since the game’s launch, but this might be one of the most interesting.

Even before the initial release ofStarfield, it was immediately clear that the game’s ship-building mechanics were going to be an integral part of the experience. Even players who didn’t love the game had to admit that the ship-building elements were fantastic, giving players the tools to bring their wildest dreams to life. These mechanics had a high skill ceiling too, making it yet another part ofStarfieldthat players had to master. Since release, there have been some epic ship builds. Just recently, anotherStarfieldplayer built aCowboy Bebopship, showing how many gamers are using these mechanics to bring their other favorite franchises into the game.

Redditor lililiilillil shared theirimpressiveStarfieldship buildwith the game’s online community, which was impressed by the player’s ingenuity. It looks a lot like the distinctive character Shrek, although taking a more blocky approach. The user admitted, “it was supposed to be Shrek in LEGO style, but it is what it is.” While it seems to work for normal space travel inStarfield, the user claims that the interior is too glitchy to show off, which kind of makes sense when looking at the ship itself.

Starfield Player Builds A Ship That Looks Like Shrek

Several of the details of this ShrekStarfieldbuild are hilarious, as pointed out by a few members of the community. Shrek has eye lasers, which look absurdly cool duringStarfield’s space combat. The nose is used for docking, there are breaking thrusters in the mouth, and the engine thrusters are placed on the butt. There’s an awful lot going on here.

It will be very interesting to see what the future holds forStarfieldas a franchise. The recentStarfield: Shattered SpaceDLC has fallen to “Mostly Negative” reviewson Steam, after most felt it offered more of the same experience given by the base game. That’s fine for some, but givenStarfield’s polarizing reception, it’s not what Bethesda would have wanted. The studio has done a lot of work with updates to win players over onStarfield, so to see many dislikeShattered Spaceis disappointing. It remains to be seen if Bethesda will persevere and try to do more with the IP in the future, whether that be more DLC or a sequel.
