How To Solve The Moon Puzzle At The Lycans' Hall
At The Lycans' Hallstarts immediately after finding Harden’s last clue and listening to its dialogue cue. Players have to descend into the ruined building until they find a door with the characteristic cutscene mark (blue bright cross pattern) at the front. Interact with it to enter the solo-dungeon, then talk toClayto start solving the puzzle.
Thefirst part of the puzzleis quite simple, as players will need to pay attention to themoon-shaped patternsand look for a yellow one and a blue one that, when put together, form the shape of the full moon. It’s quite simple, in theory, but as the lights move quickly and dance around, it is quite difficult to manage it on the first try. Here’s what players should do to complete this part of the quest:
In the video below, there’s a full rundown of the puzzle’s two stages:
Thesecond part of the puzzleis a little more complicated, since it requires players to do some extra steps. But, before beginning to solve the second part, make sure to have amorph with a wolf shape activated, like the ‘Wild Skoll’ or ‘Shadow Skoll,’ since it is a prerequisite for the puzzle to start working again:
Keep in mind that thepatterns are random, and each playthrough can showcase the patterns in different positions. verify that the shapes always form a full circle (Full Moon) or the puzzle will reset. But the thing that always stays the same — no matter the location of the patterns — is thateach pair comes in two different colors. So, players will always need to finda blue piece and a yellow pieceto complete each pattern.
For players with difficulties distinguishing the patterns, there are two things that might help.Lowering the Ambient Occlusion and Effect Qualitymight help them distinguish the patterns. For those suffering from daltonism or deuteranopia, turnColor Deficiencyon in the Accessibility tab of the Settings menu.
After the puzzle is complete, players will witness a cutscene, and Clay will prompt them to follow him and look for the missing person (who is actually behind the altar). Now, players need to return toCanina Villageand head to theTalon Guild Baseto witness how the whole situation is escaping from Clay’s control. Players will now be able tomove forward in the Chapterand help Harden regain consciousness by gathering some materials.
