There are plenty of side quests inThrone and Liberty, and some of them can feel needlessly complicated at times. Traces of the Missing is one such early game quest, and many players have found themselves scratching their heads over how to complete it.
The objectives of this quest are simple: find a lore page, and defeat some enemies. These are easier said than done, however, and you’ll need a ton of patience if you want to finish this quest. Still, if you want some extra resources forleveling up your skills inThrone and Liberty, you’ll need to scratch this quest off your Codex.
Throne And Liberty Traces of the Missing Quest Guide
The Traces of the Missing quest is set in Syleus' Abyss, the public dungeon in Laslan’s Carmine Forest region. Players will eventually reach this place if they do one of the side quests in Carmine Forests, and the big, spooky dungeon in the middle of the woods isn’t exactly hard to miss. For this quest, you need to do the following:
The first and second floors of this dungeon are for level 20-30 players. Also, you can farm enemies here to get large quantities of Quality Marind as well as somemastery points for your weapons inThrone and Liberty.
Collection: Expedition Records: Syleus’s Abyss Lore Page Location
You can find a page for this lore book collection right at the entrance of the dungeon. Once you pass through the front door leading to the main hall on the first floor, look to your right, and you’ll see a lore page on the floor.
Throne And Liberty Decayed Coffins Locations
This part of the quest is also quite simple. Simply roam around the dungeon’s halls and check all the coffins you see. Decayed Coffins are the ones that you can interact with — open two of them to tick this objective off your list.
Undead will spawn every time you open a Decaying Coffin. They’re just regular enemies, though, so you shouldn’t have any problem getting rid of them.
Where To Find Spectermancers And Spectral Shadowmancers
This is the most confusing part of this quest. Spectermancers and Shadowmancers don’t just appear like the rest of the enemies. They’ll only spawn when there areportals active in the dungeon. You’ll know if a portal is active if there’sa red skull on your map. Go to the skulls, and you may find these enemies hanging around. Higher-level enemies will be on the second floor, so beready to deal high DPS.
There’s a chance that portals won’t be marked on the map. As such, rotating around the first two floors of the dungeon is recommended.
The portals will be white at first. Once they turn green, a Spectermancer will appear. After that, they’ll turn blue, then a Shadowmancer will spawn. It’s unclear if players need to do anything to trigger the initial portal change. Either wait it out, or lure and defeat enemies near the portal.
