WhileSpider-Man 4is still quite a ways down the road, the movie’s star is starting to get a look at what the next film’s plot will involve. Of course, while he might have gotten a look, the man who was once known for spoiling details a little too often and a little too early isn’t spilling the beans on what the script he read contains.
While Holland isn’t sharing the details about what he saw in the latest draft ofSpider-Man 4, what the actor will share is that he was quite excited about the plot. Even if he also knows that what he read is nowhere near a finished product. Even if the script has the next installment in the ever-growing seriesmoving farther away froma “street-level” story, it looks like Tom Holland is quite fired up to see what this new story entails.
Tom Holland Fired Up Over Spider-Man 4 Draft
Holland brieflydiscussed his excitement over whateverSpider-Man 4has to offer during a long and more broad-ranging interview on theRich Roll Podcast. Interestingly, the main reason he did that interview was to discussthe fact that he’slaunching a kind of second careeras a non-alcoholic beer magnate. It was not a remote surprise that the conversation eventually turned to his next turn as Peter Parker and the friendly neighborhood Spider-Man and how excited he is about the draft that recently landed in his lap. Among the things that he’s most excited about is that he feels as though what he’s seen so far is something that really gives respect to fans and gives them a movie they can be proud of going to see. An installment that pays homage to what came before it. And that’s something he’s wanting to see.
“It needs work but the writers are doing a great job. I read it 3 weeks ago and it really lit a fire in me. Zendaya and I sat down, read it together and we at times were bouncing around the living room."
While Holland expressed some realexcitement about what this draftof the Spider-Man 4 movie offered, he also went out of his way to say that there are likely still some changes on the horizon. “There’s a few things we need to figure out before we can get that really going,” Holland added. “But it’s exciting and I’m really, really excited about it.”
Beyond what Holland is excited about, there isn’t much known at all about what Spider-Man 4 will entail. However, one detail is thatShang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten RingsdirectorDestin Daniel Cretton is attachedto helm the film. Zendaya is expected to return as MJ and Jacob Batalon will almost certainly be back as Peter Parker’s best friend. There is of course one cast member who won’t be back in Marisa Tomeii, who played Aunt May in the first three films but was killed by the Green Goblin. For now, the movie doesn’t yet have a release date.
