After first launching into Steam early access back in January 2023,Undisputedfinally received a full releaseon October 11. The game’s 1.0 launch came with a plethora of fixes and improvements that aimed to make the transition from early access to full release substantial. Unfortunately, despite the fact that the highly-anticipated boxing title was in early access for almost two years, there are some severe gameplay issues that have left the community disappointed.

Steel City Responds to Undisputed’s Power Punch Issue
Undisputed’s power punches have been a hot topic in the community following the game’s release, with various Reddit posts and reviews highlighting the severe issue. For players who are daring enough to jump into an online game, whether it be ranked or casual, opponents are simply spamming power punches and immediately breaking through the guard to get a quick KO. It has made the game borderline unplayable, and fans are eager to see Steel City deploy a fix. Alongside the power punch issue,Undisputedfightsoften feel incredibly glitchy as the game appears to have some synchronization issues, which can lead to punches either not registering or landing successfully when the opponent is out of reach.
While Steel City is investigating both of these issues, it’s not the only controversy the studio has found itself entangled in recently. Shortly before launch, Steel City confirmed it would beremoving Ryan Garcia fromUndisputed, a decision that hasn’t gone down well with fans. The popular fighter found himself expelled from the WBC earlier this year after making controversial comments online. Steel City then followed in the footsteps of the WBC and completely removed the boxer from all modes.
