Until Dawn Has a ‘Mixed’ Overall Rating on Steam
TheUntil Dawnremake makes some changes, but it is largely the same game as the 2015 version in terms of story and core gameplay. Considering how similar the remake and the original are, many were questioning what the point of it was prior to launch, though it’s safe to say that few expected the new game to actually be received worse than its predecessor.
Ballistic Moon and Sony have the chance to address some of the complaints about theUntil Dawnremake. The performance issues cited by some of the negative Steam reviews can be ironed out in future updates. However, some of the other criticisms are likely to go unaddressed. It’s highly unlikely that the old soundtrack will be swapped in, and fans shouldn’t hold their breath for Sony to change its mind about the PSN requirement. All future PlayStation games are expected to have the same PSN requirement, so Steam users will have to make peace with that if they want to play the company’s games on PC.
