Summary
Based on the choices made in Ballistic Moon’sUntil Dawnremake (as was the case for Supermassive Games' 2015 original), there are over 250 possible variations of three main endings (everyone lives, everyone dies, and some characters live)depending on the choices madethroughout the game. The best ending requiresall eight of the main characters to survive until dawnin some capacity (even if they’re a little banged up), which is actually an easier feat to achieve than it may seem.
Until Dawnfeatures totems that trigger premonitions and manynarrative clues that make it easier to keep everyone alive, but some of the more specific choices can be daunting. There are 22 different choices to be made, some of which have multiple decisions, and many of these choices trigger Butterfly Effect events. In Ballistic Moon’s remake ofUntil Dawn, Rami Malek’s character Josh can also be saved — a possibility that did not exist (technically) in the 2015 version.
Here are all the choices to achieve the Best Ending (Everyone Lives) in Ballistic Moon’sUntil Dawnremake.

1In Which Chapters Can Each Until Dawn Character Die?
Althoughevery playable character inUntil Dawncan perish in the end, some of them can die quite early on in the story, whereas others are physically incapable of being killed until the very last hurdle. There’s nothing more soul-crushing thankeeping everyone alive until Chapter 10just for all of them to drop like flies in a span of 10 minutes.
Here are the chapters in which everyUntil Dawncharacter can die:
As mentioned, in the original 2015 version ofUntil Dawnby Supermassive Games,it wasn’t possible to save Josh— at least not in the traditional sense. It was possible to save him from getting his head squished like a grape, but if he managed to escape the Wendigo’s wrath, he would be dragged further into the mines and meet the same unfortunate fate as his sisters, Hannah and Beth. If Josh remains trapped in the mines,he resorts to cannibalismto release the spirit of the Wendigo and turns into one himself. In a post-credits scene, Josh can be seen chowing down on the head of the Stranger, who dies after getting his head slashed clean off by the Wendigo in Chapter 8.
