Zombie Royale is a limited-time mode that returns every year during The Haunting event, bringing a unique twist to the battle royale genre by allowing players to respawn as zombies with unique abilities after dying. Players also have the chance to respawn as humans if they defeat an Operator. However, this mechanic is not sitting well with the community, as players are frustrated with opponents waiting to respawn as humans until the final circle and then spending the last moments of the game parachuting to avoid the zombies. As a result, players who survive until the end lose because they are outnumbered by zombies.
Warzone Fans Want a Change to the Gas in Zombie Royale
Another frustrating trick players seem to be using is running deep into the gas towards the very end. As Redditor LTFC_Dangerous notes, the crates seem to contain the Haunted Box more often, allowing players to get Stims and survive for extremely long durations in the gas. This makes it difficult for others to hunt them down, and they end up winning in the final moments.Warzonefans feel that the revamped version of the Zombie Royale mode has introduced too much of a luck factor, making it less enjoyable.
