There’s plenty to experience inNew World: Aeternum, but much like in other MMOs, much of this game’s most rewarding content requires players to be at or close to max level. Veteran MMO players should feel right at home when it comes to the zero-to-hero journey here, and it shouldn’t take long before they can get their characters up to a suitable endgame level.

The leveling experience in this game is far from horrible. General combat, exploration, and the presence of trade skills are all fun, and players can actively engage in all of them regardless of whatstarting class they pick inNew World: Aeternum. However, if you want to reach the highest level possible, here are some things you’ll want to know.

New World Aeternum How To Play With Friends

New World: Aeternum Max Level Cap

If you’re a completely new player who just bought the game, thenthe highest level you can achieve is 65. However, if you’re an old player who has yet to get theRise of the Angry Earthexpansion, then themax level is capped at 60.

If you’re in a rush to get to max level, we strongly recommend doing the main quest while doing some side missions along the way. If you have a group of stronger players with you, you can also ask them to power-level you through high-level Trials.

New World: Aeternum Trade Skill Level Cap

Trade skills refer to your ability to perform non-combat activities like mining, logging, cooking, and crafting. There are 17 trade skills inNew World: Aeternum, and each of them can beleveled to a maximum of 250. You get trade skill XP by doing their associated activities — fell trees for Logging, mine ore for Mining, create weapons for Weaponsmithing, and so on.

Also, it’s worth noting that cooking and crafting will give you extra XP for your main level, so if you’re looking for a way tolevel up fast inNew World: Aeternum, try to weave crafting into your daily combat and questing routines.

New World: Aeternum Weapon Mastery Cap

Every weapon in the game has two mastery trees, and you get Weapon Mastery XP for every kill you score with your equipped gear. You can getup to 20 mastery points per weapon, and there’sno limit to how many weapons you masterfor your character.

While you’re free to start grinding Weapon Mastery XP at any time, we strongly recommend doing so once you beat the main quest or reach max level, and fight monsters eitheras a solo playeror while in a party. Any excess XP you get from monster kills will spill over to Weapon Mastery, and the main quest should give you enough mastery points for both of your main weapons.
