A few new weapons were introduced inOnce Humanas of the Way of Winter update, and that includes the M416 line of assault rifles. Scorched Earth is one of the variants available to this weapon family, and it’s an excellent early game weapon for players who want to dabble with elemental builds.

The M416 Scorched Earth is a blue-rarity rifle that can serve as an alternative starter weapon for aOnce HumanBurn build. Getting the blueprints for this weapon is fairly easy, but if you want to know how to get it as soon as possible, here’s a quick guide showing you how.

Once Human M416 Scorched Earth Location

You can find the M416 Scorched at thevery top of the mountain base in Obsidian Camp, a Vulture Stronghold in the southeastern portion of the Onyx Tundra. The enemies in this area are about level 15, and most of them are armed with ranged weapons. Even so, you can storm this area as soon as you enter the map — youunlock the motorcyclevery early in this scenario, so feel free to head straight to the mountain after doing the introductory sequence.

Bring a set of crafted armor and a Torch so you don’t freeze to death.

To reach the Mystical Crate in Obsidian Camp, you’ll have todrive past the roadside apartment buildings and head inside a large cave. Sneak or fight your way through the Vulture camp, and you’ll eventually reach the surface again. Once you reach the mountain base, you can either try finding the makeshift platforms leading to the Mystical Crate, or you can head to the second floor from the main lobby and use the railings to reach the open window as pictured above.

Additionally, every shot from the M416 Scorched Earthhas a 12% chance to inflict Burn, which deals damage over time based on your Psi Intensity. Burn can stack, increasing the damage dealt by each tick.

Given the random nature of this weapon’s Burn application, it will shine most whenfighting enemies with high health pools. In practice, many weaker enemies will outright die or be near death before you can apply your first Burn stack with the M416 Scorched Earth, making this gun less efficient for general mobbing compared to other guns. However, it’s still a decent alternative for Burn builds if you don’t have the KAM Crank or the new ACS12 Pyroclasm Starter, especially once you start getting mods and attachments.
