Round8 was mostly tight-lipped about futureLies of Pcontent, but the developer recently dropped a teaser for the title’s upcoming expansion. To commemorate the one-year anniversary of the acclaimed soulslike,LoPdirector Jiwon Choi shared a screenshot and snippet of musicfrom the game’s as-of-yet untitled DLC on YouTube. The music piece the developer provided, simply titled Lisrim, is an instrumental, violin-led track that features a cheerful melody with a haunting undertone. The screenshot, meanwhile, shows the game’s protagonist standing in a desolate, snow-covered fishing village as he faces a tall, ominous lighthouse in the distance. While there admittedly isn’t much to go off of from these hints and teases, they do at least give fans a vague idea of the tone the developers are trying to establish in the upcomingLoPexpansion.
Major Hints Regarding the Lies of P Sequel Can Be Found in the Ending of the First Game
As forLies of P’s sequel, on the other hand, there is practically nothing known about the game, since Round8 has yet to publicly reveal any concrete details about it. However, a certain moment in the originalLoPmay clue fans in on the direction the developer is taking with its successor. During a post-credits scene inLies of P, a mysterious girl wearing ruby slippers is shown standing on the rooftop of a building. This female character is presumably Dorothy, the protagonist ofThe Wonderful Wizard of Oz. This unexpected cameo seems to suggest thatLies of P’s sequel will transport players to the Land of Ozand take place in a new location entirely.
The Lies of P DLC Could Bridge the Gap Between the First Game and Its Sequel

A drastic shift in setting between the two titles would require some sort of in-universe explanation, and the DLC could be the perfect way to achieve this. While the sole screenshot Round8 has shared of the expansion so far doesn’t seem reminiscent of any particular region inThe Wonderful Wizard of Oz, the fact that the image depicts a fishing village could indicate that P will traverse to a new region by boat. Of course, it’s hard to say for sure that this is exactly what will happen, but it would be a great way to tie the two games together, assumingLies of P’s sequel is set outside of Krat.
