One week afterWorld of Warcraft: The War Within’s 11.0.5 updategoes live, Cataclysm Classic’s next patch will include more features than the original release.According to Blizzard, Rage of the Firelands will launch on Tuesday, October 29. The update will allow players to experience the Elemental Bonds questline featuring Thrall and Aggra, with a cloak rewarded upon completion. A new dungeon difficulty option called Elemental Rune Dungeons: Protocol Inferno will also be added for players to challenge. Once the update goes live,World of Warcraft: Cataclysm Classicwill introduce a High-Definition Textures option to the game’s graphics settings. This will provide some visual fidelity enhancements to armor and weapons while preserving the classic aesthetics of the races that wield them.

Although The Firelands raid will not be available immediately at release,World of Warcraftplayers will not have to wait long to face Ragnaros and his lieutenants. Once the raid is open, Caster DPS players can accept a lengthy quest series that will reward the legendary staff called Dragonwrath, Tarecgosa’s Rest. Rage of the Firelands will be the penultimate chapter ofCataclysm Classic’s ambitious roadmap, as the expansion’s final major update, Hour of Twilight, is tentatively scheduled to launch in January 2025. It remains to be seen if that release window will change.
