While fans still don’t know everything coming to Xbox Game Pass in the second half of October 2024, they do know of at least one other title. It’s now been confirmed thatMechWarrior 5: Clansis joining Xbox Game Pass on October 17. A sequel toMechWarrior 5: Mercenaries,Clansis a mech game with a full-blown campaign, online co-op, and multiplayer support. The previous installment earned mixed reviews from critics, and so it will be interesting to see how they react toClanswhen it releases on October 17.

It wasn’t specified in the announcement, but it can be safely assumed thatMechWarrior 5: Clanswill be coming to PC Game Pass and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate specifically.Microsoft recently changed its Xbox Game Pass tiersso that the vast majority of day one games skip the Standard option and go straight to Ultimate. Unless it’s an exception, the same will likely hold true forMechWarrior 5: Clans. Unfortunately for those who aren’t signed up for the Ultimate tier, they will be missing out on another big game joining the service in the second half of October 2024 as well.
BesidesMechWarrior 5: Clans, the only other October 2024 Wave 2 Xbox Game Pass game isCall of Duty: Black Ops 6.Call of Duty: Black Ops 6will be releasing on Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass on the day of its release, October 25.It will be skipping Xbox Game Pass Standard, but since one needs online multiplayer access to really get the most out ofBlack Ops 6anyway (one of Ultimate’s benefits), it shouldn’t be an issue for most players looking to play the newCall of Dutywith their subscription.
