Nintendo has confirmed in a tweet and press release thatXenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Editionwill launch for the Nintendo Switch on Jun 02, 2025. This makes it the farthest out first-party Switch game that we know is confirmed for 2025, besidesMetroid Prime 4, which is due in the same year but has no official date or window.

Right now, the only other first-party Nintendogame besidesMetroidandXenobladeslated for 2025 isDonkey Kong Country Returns HD. Many Nintendo players are used to seeing the company release ports once its consoles approachthe end of their life cycles. While there have been reports that the company is set to unveil the next Switch console, we’ll have to wait and see if this port reveal means theSwitch 2 is closer than we think.
