Konami has even run exclusive events to celebrate holidays, including the New Year’s “Duel Trial: 2024” event setting both players' starting LP at 2024. Now, this Halloween will see even more exclusive goodies added to the game.
Konami recently announced the official release ofYu-Gi-Oh Master Duel’s newest Selection Pack, dubbed “Tricky Reception,” alongside a new event.The new Selection Packwill feature a set of Halloween-themed cards, including two new Monsters in “Hallo the Spirit of Tricks” and “Ween the Spirit of Treats.” Both cards will be added to the game just days after their debut in the Japanese OCG, releasing as part of the “Supreme Darkness” set. Konami also announced a new “Duel Trial” event set to run from October 28 through October 31, featuring the two new cards as the main focus.

The early debut ofMaster Duel’s new Halloween-themed cards would not be the first time the digital trading card game has launched cards before their English release. Last year saw Konami similarly debut “Promethean Princess, Bestower of Flames” months ahead of its physical release in English with the “Phantom Nightmare” set.Master Dueloften changes its release schedulesignificantly compared to the game’s physical version, releasing multiple waves of support for new archetypes together. Konami has not yet confirmed any other cards featured in the new Selection Pack.
