After completing the “Lands of the Goddesses” quest, after beating the Lanayru Temple, the Eldin Temple, and the Faron Temple dungeons, Zelda will be ambushed by Null and guided to the Eternal Forest to stop the Echo version of herself. The Eternal Forest is one of the many misty, vision-shrouding forests in theLegend of Zeldaseries, but thankfully, it’s not too hard to figure out the correct way through the Eternal Forest.
Once you reach this location, and figure out how to get through the Eternal Forest,Zelda: Echoes of Wisdomplayers who are on the main quest will be given another objective in this area: activate six Eternal Forest pedestal locations toreveal the way to the Ancient Ruin, and the way to Echo Zelda. This guide explains how to find the Eternal Forest location, and where each of the six Eternal Forest pedestals can be found inside the mist-veiled (and world map-disabling) Eternal Forest zone.
Eternal Forest Route
The Eternal Forest is located north of Hyrule Town, nestled in between the far-north zones of Holy Mount Lanayru and Eldin Volcano. To get here, head to the foothills that lead upward to Mount Hebra northwest ofthe Hyrule Castle dungeon area, and look for a break in the trees almost exactly to the west of the Northern Sanctum (where you can find one of the Acorn Gathering minigame locations).
You should see aWaypointjust outside the entrance to the Eternal Forest. Once you enter, your World Map becomes obscured, the music changes, and suddenly mists roll in and turn the forest into a maze.
To get through the Eternal Forest after getting all three of the Goddess' Sanctions from Eldin, Lanayru, and Faron, enter the forest heading west, thentake the first right heading north.
Gonorthwest in this open area, thenhead north through the gapto find the Eternal ForestWaypoint.
As long as you have progressed the main quest to the point where you are required to go to the Eternal Forest, youshould find General Wright hereto progress your quest. If you have not yet reached this point of the main quest, you will simply see a strange stone glyph and a pedestal in this clearing.
All Pedestal Locations In Eternal Forest
Once you get through the Eternal Forest,Echoes of Wisdomplayers will find a large stone tablet opposite an empty pedestal. The tablet has six empty slots, and Zelda can onlyopen the way to the Ancient Ruins by activating six pedestal locationsthroughout the Eternal Forest.
To activate a pedestal, you mustplace an Ancient Orb on top of it. Next to the stone tablet, you canLearn the Ancient-Orb Echo. Summon this Echo onto each pedestal to activate it and light up its respective spot on the tablet.
EachEchoes of WisdomEternal Forest pedestal locationcorresponds with its location in the pyramid of slots on the tablet. The first is opposite the Tablet, the other two are in the middle of the Eternal Forest, and the last three are all at its southern edge.
You cancollect these in any order, but it’s fastest to loop around clockwise to activate each Eternal Forest pedestal. Watch out for enemies while you explore, and head back to the tablet once all six have been activated.
This completes your relatively brief time in this iteration ofthe series' iconic Lost Woodslocation. After completing the Eternal Forest inEchoes of Wisdom, Zelda must walk the revealed path forward to meet a familiar face, delve into the Ancient Ruins, and face the Echo Zelda boss.
