InZelda: Echoes of Wisdom, Null’s Body is the final dungeon – and home to the final boss – of the game. Surprisingly it’s not themost difficult dungeon in the game, but the final boss ofEchoes of Wisdomis a huge step up in difficulty compared to the rest of theEchoes of Wisdombosses.

The main gimmick of this dungeon is thatZelda does not have her Swordfighter Formavailable, so you must rely on Echoes to help Link get through the Null’s Body Puzzles and defeat enemies along the way. You cannot save in this dungeon, either, so be sure to prepare with lots of powerful Smoothies, expand your Heart Containers, and collect some strong Echoes before taking on this final challenge inEchoes of Wisdom.

Entrance & First Combat

After entering the Null’s Body dungeon, enter the room heading upward to meet back up with Link. Follow the path that leads right and then upward to enter thefirst combat room of Null’s Body inEchoes of Wisdom.

Because Zelda has to sacrifice her Swordfighter Form powers for this dungeon, summon your strongest Echoes(likethe lvl 3 Darknut Echo) and let them do your dirty work. After a few waves of enemies spawn from blobs that hunt down Zelda’s location, continue into the room heading upwardandLink will be suddenly be separatedfrom you behind purple vines.

For the rest of the dungeon,Zelda must solve puzzles to progress through each room using acquired Echoes. After being separated, continue to the right and then up to enter the first Puzzle in Null’s Body.

In this room, on Zelda’s side, you will seea switch behind another set of purple bars on the right side. Standing parallel with the lone platform behind the bars, use yourLong Distance Summon ability to create a ranged damage-dealing Echoon the platform.

Aftersummoning your Echo,Lock On to the switchon the top right of the room. YourEcho will automatically attack it with a ranged attack, toggling it andopening the doorsto the next room.

You can alsoranged summon an Echo that instantly deals damageto things it touches, like the Sea Urchin, directly onto the switch.

Continue upward to enteranother combat room. Link and Zelda are stillseparated on both halves of the space, though. Once again, use your strongest Summons against the enemies on your half of the room, then use your Long Distance Summon ability to help Linkfinish off his enemies.

Continue upward once again to find a ladder leading downward into the underground sidescrolling area of this dungeon.

Null’s Body Sidescrolling Section

In this sidescrolling section you will see several platforms that move around the room.Continue to the left using Echoes(butnot the Flying Tile Echo, which will break easily in this cramped space) anduse Water Blocksto climb upward when you reach the tunnel.

Youcan also use Bind and Follow the moving platformto your top-right in this area to let Zelda get dragged upward through the tunnel.

Continuing left, you will see a roomfilled with Gustmasters. There are two ways to deal with these:build a bridge over them(or use Flying Tiles), orattempt to use their gusts to propel Zelda acrossto the next platform. It’s much easier to avoid these Gustmasters than to use their gusts and try to platform normally, so continue to the left until youreach an area with vents.

UseFlying Tiles and Strandtula Echoes to get to the lone blockfloating in the middle of this area, then use Water Blocks to easily get to the upper left side. Continue upward to find the ladder leading back to the dungeon.

Second Null’s Body Puzzle Room

After exiting the ladder, head to the right to find thesecond Null’s Body puzzle room. In this room, you have toguide Link to a pressure plate in the top-center of the room. The easiest method to get Link to the top is touse the Platboom Echo.

UseLong Distance Summonto create a Platboombeneath the far-right ledge, then wait for Link to jump on top. It will lift up, Link will jump off and cut the vines away, then step on the pressure plate to open the way into the next room.

Though thePlatboom Echo is the easiest way to gain height, youcan also Bind directly to Linkand use the terrain to move him upward. The small block on the top-left of Link’s area can be used to raise him high enough to make it to the high ledge on the far right of his room.

If you don’t have a Platboom, Zeldacan create a staircase leading up to three blocks high. First,Long Distance Summon a boulder and a tree on top, thenjust a tree, then abox, atrampolineon top of the box, and atrampolineon the bottom. Remember tolet go of the Summon button early to change the distanceat which your Echoes appear.

Enter the next room to reunite with Link as both the Hero and the Priestess head to the final portion of the Null’s BodyEchoes of Wisdomdungeon. In this last section, follow Link through the remaining rooms of the Null’s Body dungeon to reach the entrance to the final boss room.

When you’re ready to beatEchoes of Wisdom, jump into the hole to face Null alongside Link.

Echoes of Wisdom Null Boss Guide

The Final Boss Of The DLC – With No Swordfighter Form

Null essentially hasthree phases: the first and third have an overhead view while Phase 2 takes place in an underwater sidescrolling section. In each Phase Null gains new moves and requires new strategies to take down.

This fight is a step up in difficulty from the rest of the game if you aren’t prepared, so be sure to spend sometime making Smoothies and Potionsand fillingyour Fairy Bottlesbefore heading into the dungeon.

You cannot save inside Null’s Body, so if you need to make some Smoothies for buffs, you will need to repeat the previous rooms. Thankfully the rest of the dungeon isn’t too difficult, and to beat Null you will definitely want plenty of healing.

Phase One Null Boss Strategy

InPhase One, the fight takes place in a small room without too much space to maneuver. During this phase, your goal is to deal enough damage to each of Null’s Arms to destroy them.

Null will spawn with three Arms andSlam the ground and launch a ground-based projectilestoward Zelda’s location.

Summon a 1-Tri Power Echo to block this attackif you can’t get out of the way, but it’s best just to dodge it as the projectile moves slowly.

It will alsoSlam the ground in this Phase with its Orb body, dealing heavy damage in an area around its landing point. You shouldn’t have to worry about this attack too much, but if it is causing trouble, watch for the boss to launch in the air. It will usually slam down after jumping upward, giving you time to get away.

While Locked On to one of the Arms, use Long Distance Summontocreate a strong Echonext to each tentacle. This makes sure the Echo is right next to the part of the boss it needs to attack, and keeps Zelda away from Slam damage.

Once you destroy an Arm, Null will enter a frenzy andjump into the walls, then Slam with itsArmsfromvarious points along the top of the boss arena. Target each Armone by oneand take them out to bring Null back.

After coming back, Null will begin toleave pools of damagewhen it Slams with its arms. Pay attention to your movements and avoid standing in these while Targeting one of the boss' Arms.

Destroy another Arm and it will retreat into the walls once again. Get through this intermission to fight the boss one last time with acombination of both damage pools and Slam attacks. After completing this Phase, the Boss will retreat and enter Phase 2.

Phase Two Null Boss Strategy

InPhase 2,Zelda will be dragged underwaterto fight Null in an underwater sidescrolling section. Null will start to summon bosses during this Phase, too, starting withthe Jabul Ruins' Lobster bossVocavor.Avoid the gigantic Whirlpoolsthat this boss spawns, which can become troublesome if more than one Vocavor is on screen.

While focusing on avoiding the Whirlpools and other enemies in this underwater section,Lock On to the boss and summon Chompfinsto attack it. This Phase goes by relatively quickly with the Chompfin, especially if you have a high enough Tri Level tosummon two at once.

After dealing enough damage, the boss will get sucked into the next boss arena alongside Link to face down Null Phase 3, an improved version of the first phase.

Phase Three Null Boss Strategy

In Phase 3, Null will spawn with five arms and summon Echoes to its aid from thegame’s large pool of bosses. This fight can go on for a long time, but as long as you follow mechanics and don’t try to rush too much, you’ll get it done.

Each of these Echoes is a copy of one of the bosses of the seven dungeons leading up to Null’s Body, each of which will use one of its iconic moves from their boss fights. After performing its move, each Echo will disappear.

When youstart Phase 3, focus on taking out the two front arms of the boss, next to its eye nub. If you take these out first, the boss won’t be able to attack Zelda as easily and will leave itself open to attacks. Either way, focus on taking out one Arm at a time to progress this Phase.

At first, the boss will only summon the Seismic Talus and the Mogryph boss. Once you deal enough damage to Null, and send it into the walls for the intermission, it will begin to summon Darknut enemies. Additionally, the Arms in the walls will also randomly try to grab Zelda under her feet. Focus down the Wall Arms one by one to bring back Null.

In thissecond part of the third phase, Null will summon Ganon and Skorchill bosses as well. When it summons Ganon, it will spawn three copies around the arena, which stab in Zelda’s direction. When it summons Skorchill, it summons two copies, which bounce off of each other and cover a large area of the boss arena.

Continue to focus down Null’s exposed arms with your strongest Echoes (using Long Distance Summon to avoid taking damage) until Null enters another intermission and retreats into the walls once again. Focus on each Arm one at a time while they continue to try to grab Zelda andsummon even stronger enemy Echoes.

Eventually, you will enter thefinal part of the Null boss fightas it enters a frenzy. All of its moves will become enhanced after this second wall intermission, and it will begin to summon the Gohma boss, too. Use an Ignizol to burn the webs it creates or you will be slowed down and take a lot of damage. Additionally, the boss now summons more Ganon and Skorchill bosses when it rotates back to these.

Drink Smoothies to top off your Hearts, focus on avoiding the summoned bosses and Null’s own attacks, and keep re-summoning your own strong Echoes as soon as they die to eventually defeat Null.

After beating the boss, sit back, relax, and watch as the end ofEchoes of Wisdomplays out –congratulations!
