Some side quests inThe Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdomcan’t be started until certain milestones in the story, and The Zora Child’s Fate is one of these. After sealing theRift in the River Zora Village, Zelda can pick up this quest to help a Zora Child figure out why his mum is acting so strangely.
The Zora Child’s FateZeldaquest has some weird undertones, but by the end of it, everything will make sense and the Zora Child will learn they have nothing to fear. That’s because his mum doesn’t want to feed him to monsters – she wants to help him swim like other Zora, and to do that, she needs Zelda’s help in studying certain types of fish.
How To Start Zora Child’s Fate Quest
The Zora Child’s Fate side quest only unlocksafter you have completed themain quest Chaos At River Zora Village. Once you’ve sorted things out in the main story, you should find aZora Child standing next to two huts in the eastern portion of the village, about halfway up on the world map.
Like all Side Quests inEchoes of Wisdom, the Zora Child has a speech bubble with a little red exclamation marker in the top-left to indicate he is a quest-giver – he should just be saying “ughhhh”. Talk to the Zora Child to learn that he is afraid of swimming, and is suspicious of his mum – he thinks she is trying to feed him to monsters!

All Steps & Which Echoes To Summon
After picking up the quest, walk into the hut on the left, not the one immediately next to the Zora Child. You should see a Zora looking into the pool in the middle of the house. This Zora will request that Zelda bring her three types of Monsters.
This quest requires Zelda to use various Echoes to meet the Zora Mum’s requests. Simplysummon each Echo into the poolin front of the Zora to trigger the next portion of the quest.
Step Two: A Fish That Goes “Boom”
Step Three: A Shocking Jellyfish & Conclusion
Once you have provided the Zora with all three Fish requests,Echoes of Wisdomplayers will progress to the next part of the quest. Head outside to see the Zora Mum and the Zora Child interact – as it turns out, the Zora Mum was making a special Scale for the child to help them swim, not feed the child to monsters. You get to see the Zora Child learn to swim, then the Zora Mum turns to Zelda to give her a special reward, too.
