The player confirmed they were replacing every compendium entry in the game with selfies of the protagonist and the object in question, saying, “Definitely recommend if you need a hobby or something, this stuff takes a while.” The player wasn’t sure if this self-appointed challenge had ever been done before, and their photos of Link with mushrooms and exploding debris were well worth the effort. Players will knowcompletingTears of the Kingdom’s compendiumis one of the more demanding challenges, even though it’s not necessary to complete the game, and many of the player’s photographs were shot in a comical style that left Redditors laughing.

Considering there are 509 different entries to photograph for the Hyrule Compendium, the player has their work cut out for them. A Reddit user joked by saying Link was a narcissist for wanting to be in every compendium entry, and another highlighted how frustrating it is when they forget to take a photograph of an enemy that’s rarely encountered.
